Bali 2014

I was fortunate to go to Bali again this year for language study. I always love to take my camera with me. A good friend of mine "Dwi", who runs Bali Secret Tours, took me out for a day to take some photos.

Bedugul Temple
We left nice and early to go to Bedugul Temple. We got there nice and early before all the tourists arrived so I pretty much had the place to myself (and Dwi of course).

Munduk Waterfall
After Bedugul temple Dwi drove me into the mountains to Munduk waterfall. It was a beautiful spot, cold by Bali standards - 20 something degrees - but well worth braving the "cold". It was very wet with a lot of spray so I did what I could to keep my camera dry.

Orchid Flower - Alam Koe Pizza
When studying language in Bali I stay at the Bali Jepun Guest House, student accommodation. Pak Nyoman, the father of the household, recommended I try Alam Koe Pizza resturant while I was in the mountains and it was on the way to Munduk from Bedugul. While there apart from the beautiful mountain side view (sorry I didn't get a good shot of that - next time), they also had a lot of gorgeous flowers, including these orchids.
 Bali Jepun (Bali Flower)
The guest house gets its name from the fact that Ibu Putu loves Frangipanis (Bali Jepun). There was always a new batch of flowers freshly fallen and Frangipanis are a favourite of mine. If only mine would flower and have green on them all year!
